press otherwise produces works that are unbounded by genre or medium. our books are projects that occupy the spaces in between: experiential art & literature, image & text, content & form, new aesthetics & politics, sound & language, individual & collaborative, etc. we are a loose-knit collective that formed to help each other make and publish works that otherwise would not have had a home, and whose hard-to-categorize, hard-to-contain forms could not have been otherwise. as makers and sharers of art, we wish to be always learning - as this is how boundaries are pushed and peripheries are explored, inhabited, allowed to bloom. we make works (largely in the form of books) and share these objects with others, while also trying to avoid hierarchies, rigidities, and the confines of any other tediums.
